K, so I have had a update post that I started like a MONTH ago, adding stuff little here and there, but never finish it....I really am awful! But we are moving to Texas tomorrow {for the summer}, and will be back the end of August. I will definitely post when I'm there because I know my family will kill me otherwise. Kam had her FIRST birthday last week....so fun. Love that lil' gal. Will post as soon as I get internet....and a lot more time on my hands!

Is it just me or does blogger organize everything in backwards order??? Is there a little secret that I don't know because I struggle with this every time and it takes me forever to post things! If you know how I gladly welcome your suggestions!!!

Well, we have been living in Odessa, TX for about a week now. I admit, I expected it to be much worse... so you can imagine my delight when I was pleasantly surprised. I won't go as far as to say it is somewhere I would permanently want to live, but it is not so bad for a summer home. I forget how friendly these Texans are...they really are so kind, and the ward is wonderful. Think we lucked out! We are out here with some great friends, and we have quite a few family members out here with us as well....so we're living good! Here's to our last summer of moving!!
Oh. I forgot to mention Chris & I celebrated our 2 year anniversary April 4. He is the best husband & father, and I'm a lucky gal. I love you, Chris!

Kamryn turned ONE a few weeks ago. Where is my baby going? I'd really like to know. She becomes more and more like a toddler every day and I'm not so sure how I feel about this 'getting older' business! I absolutely LOVE spending my day with her, even if it means RE-cleaning my house 10 times a day... and believe me I am--every mom knows this. She manages to find her way into everything....despite the baby locks. The other day, I was on the phone in my living room while I thought she was in her room playing with toys only to find her come strutting down the hallway sporting a nice EMPTY {travel size} bottle of Scope mouthwash in her hand. Awesome. A- How does a one year old open that bottle...even I struggle with those tricky ones, and B- that cannot have tasted pleasant. Genius. She started walking on her 11 month mark and hasn't stopped since. We are waiting on a check up, but she is weighing in at about 23 lbs (?), has 6 full teeth, and a head of BLONDE, blonde hair. Blonde hair, blue eyes----definitely NOT my child. I am so stoked to spend lots of time outside with her this summer. Anyways, here are a few of Kamryn's favorite things...

These are just a few things Kamryn loves. I know there are about a billion other silly things she does and says, but that is all I can come up with right now. She is ALL girl and ALL personality. A little chatterbox---wonder where she got that from?? She is a happy, happy little goofball! The most friendly, energetic, busy little cutie pie! We love her lots!

So, back in March (over Spring Break) Chris & his cousin Sam had to spend some time in Texas for some work stuff so Steph & I decided to tag along with our girlfriends on a little road trip to San Diego. My parents live down there so we stayed with them, enjoyed the beach, celebrated Steph's 27th birthday (she is gonna kill me for revealing her age...but yet she is still young---and HOT, I don't get it!)had some crazy fun girls nights out--and they WERE crazy, little dance parties, and ate like Kings. It was so much fun--I mean, it's San Diego--of course...that place is the best little vacation spot! I just love these girls. You can always count on peeing your pants from laughing so hard with them. We are aware that the pictures you are about to see are really immature and crazy, but we had a good time--just consider yourself warned. Anyways, Thanks girls...maybe we should make this an annual tradition...yeah???

These were actually a few weeks before. We had a little birthday party a few weeks early when my parents were in town. We also had one on her actual birthday, though I don't know if I even have pics of those! As I am now looking at these I realize Kam even looks so much older now--only like a month later. That really is NUTS. But you get the idea. Yay, for first birthday's and one year on this Earth!!!! Love you Munch!

These will probably be in backwards order, bare with me...
In early Feb. Chris's Granddad Brian (who lives in England) passed away suddenly. My husband and his family were all very close to him so as you can imagine it was very difficult for all of them. I was lucky enough to have been able to meet him several times. I loved him! Quite often he would ask how his great granddaughter "Kemlyn" was doing... so funny. Only a week and a half later Chris's Granddad Jimmy passed away unexpectedly as well. I definitely remember him for his strong Scottish accent. Both leave behind wives and lots of grandchildren. They both lived in England so fortunately the funerals were only a day apart, and we were able to go to England a few weeks later to make arrangements, see family, and attend the funerals---both of which were beautiful. I wish I had more pictures...

Kamryn was better than I ever expected on both the flights. She never cried once. As you can see she is relaxing and enjoying a nice movie on the portable DVD player....thank you Sony.

We are still alive and well. Just like everybody else we have just been busy, busy, busy. We are getting ready to move again in a month to Texas for the summer. . . I swear we JUST got HOME. I just home from a little trip to San Diego with some of my girlfriends...so I will post pics of that and all the latest happenings in our life soon. Oh, and Kamryn just started walking last week. So fun--can't believe she is going to be ONE next month!!! She's talking, walking, and ALL personality. Just a very happy baby! How is time going so darn fast!! K--have to go, but post coming soon!

We are going to be moving to Odessa, TX & Omaha, NE for the summer for my husband's job! Jealous much?!?!? I know, I was jumping for joy when I heard. No, but really I am grateful my husband HAS a job! And it's only the summer & always brings new adventures/crazy stories/awesome friends... And my friend Brynne lives in Omaha, well, I think...Brynne, I'm trying to get a hold of you...message me!!!! Don't worry, I've already done my researching on the two & at least Odessa has Target and a small mall so I'm good to go!

Here's the latest in our lives (the month of Dec., NYC, Christmas in San Diego, my birthday, wedding, and Vegas...) Bare with me, this is is no particular order.

The latest with Kam...(9 months old)

-she just got her very first tooth (I know, a tad later than most)
-crawling, climbing, getting into EVERYTHING, this includes bonking her head at least 5 times a day.
-she tries pretty hard to walk & I swear I'm going to turn around any day and she will be walking.
-she stands on her own and watches everything I do.
-waves hello to everyone as she rides in the grocery cart. This little girl has the BIGGEST personality. She is so funny. She is always happy and really just such a good baby!
-she holds my cell phone up to her ear as if she is talking to someone...oh and she does this to the remote control for the t.v. as well. Doesn't quite know the difference. haha!
-the minute I remove her diaper to change it she takes off in a speedy little crawl away and all I am left to see is her naked little bum booking it down the hallway. This usually results with her peeing on my floor (happened about 5 times last week)
-she eats everything!! My food included!! Little fattie.
-she claps when she is proud of herself, and is always laughing.
-she talks all day long....there is a picture on our wall of Chris and whenever she see's it now she points and says "da-da"
-she LOVES straws and it is not a complete day unless she drinks juice out of her sippy cup with "her" straw. No even kidding.
-tears apart the house about 30 times a day. Opens drawers (no I don't have locks on them yet).
-she's figured out how to remove the dvd's from the player, this explains why her favorite Backyardigan dvd has gone missing!
-she is a little ball of energy ALL day LONG which is good because she sucks the energy right out of me after chasing her around

Last weekend we had the chance to go to Vegas with some friends. How can you not have a blast with good eats, good friends, & GREAT entertainment!! We golfed, dined, and ....went to the GARTH BROOKS concert!!! It was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! Garth is the best entertainer. No doubt about it. He's hilarious, personal, and just plain cool! Trisha was there to sing a few songs with him as well.....= rocked my night.

How could I forget to mention that I cannot wait for 'New Moon' to come out this weekend!? I am not even one bit ashamed that I'm a fan!!! I admit I made fun of the 'Twilight' hysteria and the teeny boppers who were so dramatic about it, WELL guess what? I saw the movie and became hooked! Finished the book 'New Moon' in like a day (more or less)....& lo and behold I am the 13 year old girl who is lining up to see the movie! I can't wait (& you know you are too if you've read the book)!

So due to the nasty sickness that is going around EVERYWHERE to EVERYONE Chris, Kam, & I are all sick! Lovely! Guess that's just the way the cookie crumbles sometimes, huh? What can ya do. We were supposed to be leaving for our trip to Cabo tomorrow, but had to reschedule the vacation for the beginning of Dec. Guess that just means we have an even busier month of Dec! Who cares. . . this white body of mine needs to see some sunshine! Anywho, I forgot where I was going with this...We were lucky enough to get some pictures of Kamryn done last week by an adorable cousin of some friends of mine. She does a great job, and even though it was such a cold day we managed to get some smiles out of the little one. Here is a preview, but let me just say...the cutest are to come in a few weeks! I know you missed us. I procrastinate blogging because let's face it I hate writing lots of stuff so this will be enough to put us through until next month...just kidding. Well, sort of. Let's see, where to start....
We packed up our so very lovely hotel room and finally made the trip back to UT from TX.... what a drive. Let me just refresh you on all our driving in the past 6 months...drove from UT to VA Beach in May, drove back to UT in August, then drove from UT to Phoenix, then from Phoenix to Lubbock, TX, finally from TX to UT. Do you think I am anxious to get back in the car!? I would like to personally thank the writer of 'Friends' for keeping me company (and sane) during those drives!!! Over the course of the last few months & all our travels my husband has gotten 2 speeding tickets (for a grand total of about 4 in, oh I don't know, let's see.. roughly 10 months...) and I also, got my first EVER...I know, lucky me. So we're kind of hoping for no more speeding tickets for us for a while. I remind my husband pretty much every time I am in the car with him! I know he loves my reminders. We've gotten settled back in our place and life has picked up where it left off! Chris's grandparents were in town from England for a few weeks so we've had a blast..they are so much fun to be around. I know I've said this before but his family are some of the FUNNIEST people I know. If you've met them you know what I'm talking about. Always good for a laugh or two!

Well Kamryn is just over 6 months now & everyday I find myself wishing time would just stand still for a little bit. GOSH, it goes SO annoyingly fast! Everything is great with her & she is happy and busy as a bee. That's no understatement either! The girl is into EVERYTHING. But her very favorite thing lately is straws. I cannot drink my fountain drink in peace anymore....she reaches for & slobbers all over my straw!!!!! Appetizing!!!

Kam's 6 month stats:
Weight: 15.5 lbs
Height: 26 inches

Bit underweight for her age. For as much eating as this little one does she has only gained one whole whopping pound since her four month check up. I tried explaining to her that this was not such bad thing....and how someday she'd wish this was the case....I don't think she understood? Anyways, we love this little girl so much and she is most definitely a huge blessing in our lives. It's hard to imagine what our life was like without her. I finally understand why people say there is no greater joy than being a parent. Makes perfect sense!

Next, we had our Annual Girls' Caramel Apple Party 09'! We tried so hard to get a good picture with everyone...probably doesn't help that some of us are retarded...haha! Here are some of our best attempts....

Melizza has this CRAZY OBSESSION with chocolate chip cookies, so within the first 15 minutes she had hidden the giant chocolate chip cookie brownies from everyone on top of the fridge.....I would not expect anything less from her....that's why she keeps me laughing!!

Finally, Chris & I are going to Cabo in two weeks...without Kamryn..how sad is that! Okay, I know it's not sad to any of you because hello, it's a vacation! But I have never so much as left her for more than a few hours so it's sad to me!! I know, I know, every mom goes through this, but why is it so hard! I know she'll be in good hands of course, but I will miss her like crazy. It will be a great time though & I can't wait to spend time with the hub! Hope everyone had a very safe & enjoyable Halloween! xoxo

I swear every time I post anything it's like 'oh hey we're moving here...hey we're moving there'.....well this time I am proud to announce I am moving HOME to Utah for GOOD in two weeks! Chris will be coming back two weeks later. I am EVER so excited to be in the comfort of my OWN home, & to decorate and cook with all the flavors & smells of fall! I can't say it enough....I LOVE FALL!!! I can't wait to bake apple cider doughnuts, drink some warm apple cider, caramel apples, Halloween parties, our FAMILY, BYU games, my Food Network magazine subscriptions filled with delicious soups... (go ahead--make fun of me, but you gotta check it out!), Thanksgiving, Cancun, the Christmas season....do ya get the point!?!? But who doesn't love fall? Despite how LONG & grueling (mostly for my wonderful hubs) this last 5-6 months has been with his work taking us everywhere... we are very fortunate. There's been plenty of fun mixed in there too...we're not neglected. This past week Kam has been so fussy & decided she just doesn't want to sleep at ALL anymore! I have almost lost my sanity a few times. But don't worry all is well and we will be back and out of this hotel room soon enough. Here are just a few pictures. . .
PS. K- so the reason Kam NEVER makes an appearance outside of this Bumbo chair is because the girl LOVES it. What can I say? But BEWARE... they apparently can tip upside down!? I turned around today for like one second, literally, and she had managed enough momentum to swing herself forward and the flip the chair & her UPSIDE down. Five seconds later she was in love with it again....don't you just love babies? Enjoy!

Oh as it just so happens, like most babies, she loves to unroll and play with paper towels/tp....so I just let her go to town on it in her crib. That explains the pictures. Goodnight!

We have moved to TEXAS! I know, we are crazy. We found out on Monday night, packed up, and were gone Tuesday morning. After 12 hours of driving and arriving at 3 in the AM TX time...we made it! We are in Lubbock, TX where there IS a mall and a temple so we can survive....haha! And it's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be! Only 5 more weeks left of this and we are HOME, HOME, HOME. It's been quite the journey over the past 5 months....but in all honesty we have had some great fun. There are a few of our married couple friends out here so we are in great company! It has been worth it. And I guess it only helps that we have a lot to look forward to when we are back.....CANCUN!!!!! And possibly Hawaii..Halloween parties.....Oh, I can't wait!

Homemade Laundry Soap....

I found this recipe for Homemade Laundry Soap (off my cousin's blog, thanks Ben & Kelli.....well Kelli--I know Ben had nothing to do with this... ha!). This will go MUCH further than the laundry soap you are used to buying. Makes anywhere from 200-400 loads.....that's a lot of laundry!! AND, it is SO much cheaper. Yeah, so you have to take a tiny bit of time to make it, but it will be so worth it and last you much longer. So, give it a try. And if you don't like it, remember I found it off my cousin BEN's blog. haha! JK. Enjoy!

You will need:

1 Bar of Fels Naptha
1 Cup of Arm and Hammer Laundry Soda
1/2 Cup of Borax

All of these can be found in the laundry aisle; however, Walmart doesn't carry the Fels Naptha or Laundry Soda. I purchased mine instead at Macey's grocery store. They should total altogether about $7.

Instructions:

Grate the Fels Naptha and add to a saucepan with 4 cups of hot water. Stir continually over medium-low heat until the soap dissolves and melts. Fill a 5-gallon bucket half full of very hot tap water. Add the melted soap/water mixture, the laundry soda and the Borax. Stir well until all powder is dissolved. Fill the bucket to the top with more hot water. Stir, cover and let sit overnight to thicken. It will look like Egg Drop Soup when it's ready- don't worry, this is normal!!

Stir before using. Use 1/2 cup for top loading machines, or 1/4 cup for front loading. One bucket makes about 200-400 loads, depending on the washing machine.The price on this bad boy equals about $2 per 5 gallons.

So, as promised (because I know you are just dying to hear), here is my slightly-embarassing, yet very 'Emilee' story.
Ever locked your child inside the car in the BLAZING Arizona heat?? Check.
So, the other day, I decide to take Kamryn for a walk around the mall, run a few errands, and then stop by the grocery store on the way home. I get my groceries, walk out to the car, auto-start my car from the key remote, put Kam in the car, put the groceries in the back of the car, shut the door, walk around to get in and realize the car is ALL locked.....with my poor 5 month old baby inside, my keys, phone, purse, EVERYTHING just sitting on the front seat. (Okay, so you maybe be thinking well the AC is on.....not really....#1. on my way to the grocery store my gas light was on and I, being too lazy to stop, decided that I'd just stop after the grocery store. #2. I remember turning the AC almost completely off before I stopped because the car was getting too cold.) And I forgot to mention that it was at least 108 degree outside. I immediately start to panic because my husband is working AN HOUR away, our extra set of car keys are in our LOCKED apartment, and to top it all off I really have no idea where I am at. Knowing that my car is probably gonna turn off any minute and my little baby is gonna be roasting in the car I run inside the store and use the phone to call the police. They tell me the fire department is on the way. So, I run back outside and I'm really nervous at this point because I know she is super hot inside the car and it's gonna be a bit before they get there and even are even able to get inside the car. THE WORST PART OF ALL......(MAJOR EMPHASIS on that) is that I can see Kamryn inside just screaming and looking at me helplessly. If that doesn't break your heart, I don't know what will. I could tell she was sweating. I am super antsy and up until this point I'm trying to remain calm, but then I just break down in tears. This sweet little pregnant lady comes by my side and is trying to comfort me. She ends up staying with me until they got inside the car. Anyways, sooo of course, in people-fashion everyone is staring and watching because the fire department pulls up and FOUR men come to my rescue and some crazy lady is crying by her car?! It took them about 10 minutes to get the car open and sure enough the car died like right when they got there. When I got to Kamryn she was sweating and crying so bad, but she was fine. I have NEVER, EVER locked my keys in my car and the one time I do my BABY is in the CAR in a 108 degree DESERT? What the heck. The firemen were super sweet and if it had been any longer they were just gonna break the window. I didn't care what they did as long as Kamryn was okay.
I am a pretty calm person by nature, but that shook me up a bit. I was sooo nervous to go anywhere with her after that in fear of that happening again. I still refuse to go to that grocery store.....bad, bad memories!!!!!!!! Kamryn was so happy and playful five minutes later. NBD. I'm sure this has happened millions of times, but NEVER to me and NEVER in the scorching heat of AZ. So lesson to be learned=don't ever take your child anywhere. kidding. It almost hurts to even joke about it. ha! jk. But we are safe, we love AZ, been having a blast night swimming with friends, keeping busy with homework, and getting ready to VACATION like it's nobody's business this fall!!!! Well, we made it to Phoenix safely.....only after a MALFUNCTION of the GPS (or "jips" as my husband calls it).....and a NICE, LONG, very ACCIDENTAL, SLOW as all get-up drive through Zions National Park. Ok, so we'll take partial credit....we were talking on our cell phones and missed a few turns... Anywho, we made it safely and I AM IN LOVE WITH PHOENIX!!! This is totally a place I could live. I've been here before, but living here is a whole another story. It's fab. I need to update on everything that has been going on since we have been here and believe me, I have a lovely, scary, little story to share.....(involves firemen coming to my rescue)....so stay tuned for that one. I have been super busy trying to keep up with my homework so I will have to write that later. For some reason lately I tell my husband he is the best husband of all the husbands.....(who are the husbands? I don't even know...I just say it.) ....reason for the title. Anyways, I just am feeling extra grateful for a great husband today. I know he will never read this because he is so busy and never reads the blog, but I want to tell the world how lucky I feel to be married to him! A lot of you (whoever reads this), probably don't know him, but he is one of the most hard working people I know. One of the first things that attracted me to him was his personality, (he'd say his good looks), but that's debateable! haha. kidding. He is soooo dang funny. Let me just say..... I absolutely ADORE his family. If you could pick your in-laws they would be the people I'd pick!!!! I know exactly where Chris gets his sense of humor because his family are some of the funniest, most loyal people I know.....and that's a pretty big statement, but I wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it. They have become like a second family to me, and I love every single one of them. So, I guess what I'm trying to say here after all this blabbing...is that I am so grateful his parents for raising such an incredible man.

Moving on....
The summer is just about over here in Virginia Beach and I've been getting really anxious to get home. As much as I just LOVE (sense my sarcasm here) hardly seeing Chris, I'm excited to have him back. He works so hard and has had a very successful summer and for that we are GRATEFUL. Although, I do have to say we have had a VERY FUN summer out here this year. Lots of great friends=great time, right? So, thanks all you guys & we love you all. We are making the long drive back to UT in two weeks and then we are going to be moving to Phoenix for the next 6 weeks....then back to UT. We are literally going to be all over the place this fall. From VA to AZ, UT, Bahamas, possibly England, Cali, and maybe even FL. . . oh and did I mention my three online classes? I think I may or may not just have a heart attack this fall.....that's all I'm sayin'. Regardless of all the anxiety this may cause me....(kidding)...sorta....I can't wait to visit UT in a few weeks! We have seriously missed all our family.
On to the INTERESTING part of our lives....Kam!
I've had to have one eye on her lately because she is ALL OVER THE PLACE. She is rolling here, there, and everywhere. The other day I literally turned around to put something away and she had rolled up against the bed and was trapped in between something. Best part was that this didn't even phase her. Every morning when I go to get her out of her crib she is exactly 180 degrees opposite the way I laid her in the crib the night before. And then I get the big blue eyes & huge toothless grin....all upside down, of course. She has been coo-ing and ca-ing for a couple months now, but lately it's turned into jibberish talk.....something like this....."ahh, bahh, boo, awooo, moo, mmmmm, ymmm"???? Oh, and LOTS of squeals and laughs. I wish sometimes you could go inside a baby's head and see what they are thinking. Other things- I've taught her how to get herself to sleep and she is wonderful about it. And I'm very lucky that she is a good sleeper...she sleeps about 11 hours every night. She is just about sitting up now too. I'm sure I could go on and on with all the stuff she is learning..... Bottom line, is we love this little girl, and love being parents. Hope everyone is doing great.....here are a few pictures.....

She tries every way possible to get outta here after about fifteen minutes. Her new thing is gathering the momentum by swinging forward then flinging herself backwards to get out....and believe it or not it almost works. She hasn't figured out how to get the last leg out. Is it mean to say it's pretty entertaining to watch!? The other day she sat up a few times for about one minute. She has also discovered herself in the mirror. Every time I change her outfit I hold her and let her stand on the bathroom counter in front of the mirror.....she'll look down at her outfit then start laughing.....so cute. I love being a mom. I love watching Kamryn learn new things. I love how happy she gets when she sees Chris or I peering at her over her crib in the morning. I love how she keeps one eye open just making sure I'm still holding her while I'm rocking her to sleep. I love hearing little squeals out of her out of nowhere. I love how she lets me sleep through the night. I love every little thing about this little girl. She is perfect.

It's late (by my 'mom' standards, and those of you who have had babies can probably relate ...wanting to go to bed after your child is down for the night because who just knows when they will be up again!), and I actually am tired so we'll see how much I'll write. Kamryn & I just got back from a little Lake Powell trip with the Welch side of the family. Unfortunately, Chris had to stay back in Virginia to work for the week, and some of the family were not able to come. It was my grandparents 50th, yes, 50th wedding anniversary a few months ago which we were celebrating a little late. I could go on and on about my wonderful grandparents (both sides), but I will spare you. We had such a good time hanging out on our houseboat, playing games, slip n' sliding, playing "white trash" golf, eating way too much, and the list goes on and on. Here are some pictures from the trip....
The first is a picture from the week that Kamryn was born when we blessed her. My Grandpa Olson and her....he is the sweetest man EVER and she is only one of MANY, MANY great grandchildren on the Olson side. She is so tiny here!

On to Kamryn....
She is now 2 1/2 months old and lovin' life. At her two month check up a few weeks ago she weighed 11 lbs 4 ounces and was 22 1/2 inches long....she's come along way from the 7 lbs 11 ounces and whole 18 inches since she was born! That's my babe! Anywho, she is now sleeping completely through the night 9-6....and I am one happy mom! Her new favorite things are eating her hands as if they taste like candy, smiling at EVERYTHING, watching baby Einstein ( I can put her down and she'll watch for like 10 minutes without moving her eyes once...success.) She can also successfully roll to her side only to cry desperately in anger and frustration because she is stuck. Pretty funny stuff. She is SOOOOOO adorable and I don't think there is anything more rewarding than to wake up in the morning to a bright blue eyed baby with smiles all around. Melts my heart! She was every bit worth the 9 months of pure sickness. She is definitely wrapped around Chris & I's finger. What can I say. Btw, Chris won a trip to the bahamas from his work for the 2nd highest number of sales for the month of June in his region (only ONE sale behind the #1 highest).....sWeEt, will definitely be taking advantage of that! I'm proud of him, he works so hard for our family! Anyways, Kamryn and I are in San Diego for the next two weeks since my mom is getting surgery and we are here to help take care of her! Chris isliterally going crazy without us around for three weeks. Poor guy: ( .....We are excited to to be able to go back to Utah though and Kam can see her nanny and pops! We love and miss you guys everyday!!! I lasted a lot longer in this post than I thought...shutting up now! Hope everyone is doing great!

Latest with the Mundays......

Well while I'm waiting for my husband to get home from work I figured I could manage writing an update....(sigh). Lets see, whats been going on in our lives.......does anyone else feel like the months of May and June are just FLYING by? Maybe it's just me and adjusting to the whole 'being a mother thing'.....at first I thought I'd never have time to even as much as take a shower again in my life, but Kamryn has been growing so fast this past month and we are finally on a pretty decent schedule. I have noticed a lot of changes in her and I have to say I absolutely love this part of it. She is becoming very interactive and such a happy little baby. I was reading a post I wrote a couple of weeks ago, and realized how much she really has changed. She is smiling all the time and I'm learning a rested baby=a happy baby! She has a perma-smile in the AM. She is much more content and not needing to be held ALL the time like before. On top of all of this she LOOKS like a baby and not a newborn!!! She has her 2 month check up this week and I am excited to see how much she has grown. She's only waking up about once in the night to be fed. Which doesn't bother me at all, once is better than twice, right?? Anyways, I am loving hanging out with her everyday and watching everything she is learning.

On the other hand....Chris and I are not nearly as exciting to hear about... but he is doing great this year, as I expected, and he has had his hands very full and is busy busy. Thankfully, although the lack of seeing my husband these 4 months I know it is all worth it in the end : ) . And I love being able to spend lots of time with him during the school year. This summer has actually really been a blast. We have some good friends out here and done some pretty fun this summer(none of which I have taken pictures of!!!). I swear now that we have a baby I don't even think to take pictures of Chris & I, it's all about Kam's, BABY! Not that I was ever very good at taking pictures of us to begin with! That can be my new years resolution next year? Anyways, we feel so blessed, but miss our families so much. Btw, Congratulations to my little brother for surviving 13 years of school and finally graduating high school! Class of 09'! He is heading up to BYU for school and now my parents are officially 'empty nesters'. I was saying to my dad the other day that their kids lives are boring now and it's all about the grandkids! Kamryn and I are going out to Lake Powell this week with my family and I'll let you know how the flight goes with a 2 month old....?! Now I am just blabbing...Hope everyone is enjoying their summer!!

Well we have arrived in Virginia Beach, actually got here a few weeks ago, but like always I put off blogging until I finally realize how behind I am. We lived here last summer as well, and once again I have been pleasantly reminded how awful HUMIDITY IS!!!! UGH. Not a fan. I'm complaining and it's not even like smoldering hot and at its worst......even bigger UGH! We'll see how long I can handle it before I confine myself to the indoors!! Better get used to it if I'm gonna live in Tampa in the future like Chris says. Actually there is a lot to do out here and I've had so much fun already. First of all, I LOVE the wives out here! We have such fun girls, some of which I have been friends with for a long time and I'm so stoked I get to spend the summa with them! Speaking of, I really think you girls need to start blogs.....Secondly, we've started out tradition of Sunday game night and this is probably the funniest time EVER! Major husband/wife competition! Third, I'm so glad the beach is like 5 minutes away, even though I now have to haul like my house there just because I have a little baby to take care of too! Kamryn is doing great, we've had a few doctor visits for little things, but she is as healthy and happy as they come! She is now a little over a month old and weighs 10 lbs 6 ounces. Little chunk! She loves her food! And I love her little chub that she is finally getting. A few other things Kamryn loves....

-when Daddy comes home.....this is no lie, she'll be screaming her eyes out and Chris will get home, pick her up, and she just stares at him and quiets right down......nothing like Daddy's touch apparently.

-her hot pink pacifier....she seriously won't take any other one. Heaven forbid it should fall out of her mouth...or the screaming begins.

-falling asleep on your chest. Some nights this is the only way she will go down.

-lullabyes.....but if your me, I know about 3 words of maybe 2 lullabyes so this somehow turns into me singing church songs?!

-like most babies...the HAIR DRYER! ....Life SAVER! Ps my husband still loves the hair dryer.....totally another story.

Anyways, there are obviously so many things we love about Kam's and I can't complain that she only wakes up once, occasionally twice at night. She usually sleeps pretty good at night, but doesn't particularly enjoy daytime naps. She is such a cutie though and we are so in love with her. Chris is doing great, life is good! Here are a few pictures of Kamryn...I need to be better about remembering to take pictures of US.

Ps. Chris and I are planning a trip this fall to somewhere tropical and FUN! If you have any personal suggestions feel free to inform us!!! We're thinking Sandals, Jamaica...??(just like The Office, baby!) We are looking at our options.

Kamryn Grace Munday was born April 21, 2009 at 6:46 PM. She weighed 7 lbs 11 ounces and is 18 inches long. She has got a full head of beautiful light blondish/brown hair (surprisingly!?), is healthy and is such a little cutie pie!!

Here's the story.....
I went into the hospital at 9 AM to be induced, and they started me on pitocin for about 5 1/2 hours until they broke my water at about 2:30 PM. About an hour later I got the epidural (and oh my goodness most wonderful thing EVER!!!!!!!!) and she arrived only a short 3 hours later, after only 24 minutes of pushing. I have to admit for as much as I anticipated the labor and delivery to be the worst part of the pregnancy....I was so wrong!! It honestly was not bad at all and I feel so very lucky for that. I felt great right away and have ever since! We feel so very blessed to welcome this sweet baby girl into our family.....how much closer can you get to heaven than that...seriously? It is the most amazing experience in the whole world. There is nothing like holding your own child in your arms and you would instantly do ANYTHING for them. We are so grateful that everything went smoothly and are incredibly thrilled for a BEAUTIFUL healthy baby and no major complications. She couldn't be more perfect!! I will post more pictures when I figure out where Chris put our camera, but here are just a few.....

So for those family and friends who have been texting/wondering if I have gone into labor yet....the answer is NO : (..... but tomorrow they are going to induce me a few days early being that my family is in town and my husband is moving to Virginia Beach in a week. I am going to be joining him in a couple weeks where we will be for the summer. Anywho, we wanted to bless her before we left so good old Dr. Parker (GOOD MAN...I'm telling ya) is allowing me to be induced a few days before my due date. I'm 3 cm and 80% effaced so he agreed that'd it'd be okay. I don't know how this got to be a paragraph story, but bottom line....getting induced tomorrow...will post pics asap.....

I finally gave in and decided to post the 'pregnancy pics'. My friends weren't gonna let me get away with it much longer so I decided to let them have their way so I can keep my friends around. I have hardly taken any pictures during this whole pregnancy and therefore don't have many to pick from so you better take what you can get (Jenna!). 5 LONG weeks left!
Quick update:
April is a jam packed month for the Munday household! Chris is leaving for Virginia literally days after Kammie is born, and I will be joining him by driving (yes, driving CROSS COUNTRY) with my mom and NEWBORN baby only two weeks later. Do you think I'm crazy or what? During this time we have to somehow squeeze a day in there for her to be blessed, pack up our things, and much much more. Since last September we have been step-by-step completing work for Chris's permanent U.S. residency, which if anyone knows much about this let me just tell you it has been a PROCESS, a lot of paperwork, and meant digging up practically every document in the history of both of our lives! We have a final marriage interview the second week of April (so they can make sure we are legit.....funny, but true) and then according to the attorney he should be getting his green card in the next few weeks. This is a BIG thing and will really change a lot of things. Who would have known marrying an British guy would be such a task? HA! Just kidding I love my honey. It actually has been a major blessing that the process has been as speedily as it has since it typically takes much longer. All in all, we feel confident this is going to be a great year for a our little family and look forward to the all that the future has in store for us. I don't even know how I got off on this little tangent. Anywho, hope everyone is doing great ! : )

1. I LOVE doing make-up on people, yet my husband never wants to be a volunteer. Hmm Weird.
2. I have always been really outgoing, quite the opposite of shy, but I have a SERIOUS fear of public speaking!!It scares me TO DEATH!
3. I somehow managed to chip my tooth while sewing a couple of summers ago. Now that I think of it, I have some very bad experiences from sewing. If a button fell off a shirt, I wouldn't even know what to do, I'm THAT awful. It's really sad.
4. Got an infection from a pedicure (shameful), had to go to 2 different doctors, was in horrible pain and couldn't walk. Then I had to meet with Elder Zwick of the Quorum of the Seventy, who married us, the next morning still WAY out of it from the pain medicine the Doc gave me. I practically limped into church office headquarters, and then got a gushing bloody nose during the prayer. He probably wondered what in the world Chris was getting himself into! Ended up having to have my toenail removed from a Pediatrist TWO days before my wedding! Be careful when you get a pedicure!!
5. I keep a journal on my computer in hopes that someday my children will read it and appreciate it! HA!
6. I drink blue powerade every day. For lots of power.
7. I call my mom probably like 5 times a day, for no reason, just to chat. She's the bomb.
8. My husband wakes up mad at me at least once a week for things I apparently did to him in his dreams??
9. I could live off of tomatoes with cottage cheese, strawberry fruit popsicles, and tomato juice. This is no joke.
10. I have to be like 10 minutes early to EVERYTHING or I almost have an anxiety attack!
11. I slept on the Great Wall of China in a sleeping bag, but didn't really sleep since I all I could think about was the mouse I could hear!
12. I could honestly probably vomit on command since I have been pregnant.
13. I have a strange, but significant ability to memorize useless facts & could probably tell you weird things that you wouldn't think I'd remember about you. Or friends Social Security #'s. Not mentioning any names. Don't worry I won't steal your identity, Ang.
14. I'm guaranteed the biggest country music fan EVER and honestly probably wouldn't even recognize the new and popular songs right now that are not country.
15. I CANNOT STAND the taste, smell, or texture of CANTELOUPE!!!!!!!!
16. I sleep in my coat quite often. Started this habit in China when I was FREEEEEEEEZING.
17. I love to run and have a tendency to sometimes run far far to several freeways and back. I miss running.
18. I really want to play the piano right now.
19. I miss playing soccer everyday.
20. My house has to be really clean or else I stress out every day until it is.
21. Favorite TV Show is Unsolved Mysteries, but I can't stand scary movies. I think they are dumb.
22. I have to be in the mood to want to go to the mall and shop. Seriously, what girl is like that?
23. I think one of the best ways to spend a saturday morning is looking at model homes for fun!
24. I have the best family and friends in the world!
25. I never do these little post things & gave in. Am glad to be DONE! Only took me 10 minutes to figure out to how to post it even though it's in the instructions!

Playing Catch Up....

Been quite a busy month, seriously don't even know where to begin, but here goes...

This has been quite a bitter-sweet past month. First of all, we had such a blast in England over Christmas break...hanging with Chris's relatives, exploring London, ate way too much English Chocolatey goodness, saw Wicked and Les Mis, spent new years eve in the famous Trafalga Square, never missed an opportunity to throw up on every train ride (this is me, of course), shopping in the BEST malls/stores EVER. period. I've decided England just has the U.S. one up on the whole fashion thing. Anyway, I loved every minute of England, the villages, and getting acquainted with my cute hubby's hometown for a couple of weeks! We LOVED hanging out with our favorite couple Chris's cousin Sam and his prego wife, Steph! It's a match made in heaven for the four of us, I'm thinking we must have done something right to have such great friends. I wish I would have snapped some more pictures, but I honestly was more focused on refraining from vomiting on everyone and everything around me.....not even joking. I've just been really blessed with the whole ENTIRE pregnancy sickness. That's ok, I know she's gonna be a cutie pie. Moving along...England was great, family was great, and the flight home was wonderful...business class for FREE is not too shabby, right?

Next...Wedded Bliss! My older brother Austin was married to Megan Wade on January 23 in the Bountiful temple. The ceremony, breakfast, and reception were all beautiful....I just don't know how pregnant brides do that. I was pooped after the ceremony. They are unthawing from this cold weather in the carribean right now....what a hard life. Happy to have Meg in our family, she makes a HOTTTT wife for Austy...haha! But really, Austin needs a babysitter sometimes..... ; )

And finally...Called to Serve! Chris's younger brother Sam received his mission call to the California San Jose mission, leaving a quick two weeks later...this past Weds. Sam (or Samson as I like to call him)...is the best guy you will ever meet. A whopping 6'8 ft, but seriously a gentle giant. He would do ANYTHING for his family and friends and it was really hard to say goodbye to him. He is so protective of all of us ladies in the Munday family (and by all, I mean all THREE of us), amongst MANY, MANY boys. I've been going through Sam withdrawals. But believe me, the California San Jose mission will remember Elder Munday!

We've been able to spend lots of time with family over the course of the month and being as that is one of my favorite things,I'm quite happy. And thanks to my parents and sister for painting my nursery for me everything is finallycoming together. I'm excited to say there are only 2 1/2 LONG months left! A couple of weeks after she is born, we'll be moving to Virginia Beach again for the summer, so the craziness never stops for our family...but life is great! XOXO

Don't we look beautiful? I happen to think so. Being as this year my family won't be able to make Christmas Eve at my Grandparents and Chris and I will be in England we decided to carry on our tradition of Christmas Bingo on Thanksgiving night instead! We've been playing this game for as long as I can remember. The best part is every time you get bingo you get to pick a present out of the middle ....who wouldn't want to play right? Once all the gifts are gone you can steal them from anyone else....even better? yes. And if you thought that was it you are wrong.........there is always a poopy diaper! So choose wisely! They are just random gifts, treats, etc.....ironically enough my Grandma decided to put a pregnancy test in one of the like 30 gifts......and with my whole ONE gift....guess gets that? I think you get the idea. It was like Deja Vu. Dang. I just realized I should've gotten a picture of that. Anywho, this year we all got Santa hats to make this beautiful family portrait. I personally think it should be a Christmas card, but whatev! I find the bottom picture hilarious. A big PLUS size bra in one of the gifts....who would have thought it serves an excellent purpose as a hat for 2?

We leave to England on Friday for the next 2 weeks. We will be spending Christmas with Chris's family/extended family and new years eve in London. Chris's parents have a home less than an hour outside of London in a place called Kent where Chris basically grew up. Although, I will be having a blast because I love his family, I will definitely miss and be thinking of mine...first year without them! Isn't this the best time of year? Hope everyone has a wonderful, safe, and great holiday spending time with ones they love! Wishin everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

* FESTIVAL OF TREES *

Every year when I was younger, my mom and grandma would check my sister and I out of school to go to the Festival of Trees for a day. I always loved looking at the trees, reading the stories, eating the delicious treats, and the whole purpose of the Festival. Well, I haven't been since I was probably in jr. high since I moved to Cali soon after so I went with my Grandma this year. A- I LOVE my grandma, she is the very best, most energetic, spunky, fun lady you'll ever meet. don't believe me? Ask my husband! She plays ping pong like a champ!
B-I wish my mom and sister could have been there : ( and C- the spirit of the festival is every bit as great as I remember as a kid. I even ended up going back the next day with my mother/sister in-law. But of course you can't leave without a buttery, fatty, and sugary scone! Ah, what do I care, I am going to get fatter right now anyways! I love the festival of trees!

Journals!!

Even though, I haven't always been very faithful about keeping a journal my Dad has totally inspired me to. He has kept a journal for 30+ years and although, he thinks no one has read any of his entries, I have, many times as a teenager, and it is such a blessing and has touched me to be able to read the sweet words he has written about our family, memories he has treasured in his life, his testimony, etc. It brought tears to my eyes every stinkin' time. This has helped me realize the importance of keeping record so that our children, grandchildren, and every following generation, etc can read of our life's experiences. President Kimball says..."And in that glorious day when our families are together in the eternities, we will already be acquainted” If your like me, one of the main reasons I procrastinated was because of having to hand write so much! So, like my dad I have been keeping a journal on the computer, and saving it to an external drive. He prints off his journals in increments of 3 years and places them in a labeled binder. I love my parents very much and decided that this was something I wanted to carry on for my children. I hope that my children will appreciate my journal in years to come and if nothing else, know that I have a testimony of our Savior, and love them! I think this is is a great idea and encourage all who do not keep a journal to do so! It's a great way to remind yourself of all your many blessings. Thanks, Dad!

I also totally meant to congratulate my older brother, Austin, and Megan for getting engaged a few weeks ago. They are getting married Jan. 23 in the Bountiful temple. Couldn't have picked a better girl for Austin myself. We love Meg and are way excited for her to be part of the crazy fam! I just hope she knows what she is getting herself into!

Ang was dating this guy named Grant at the time, somehow they got started talking about crockpots....Ang kept calling it "Cockpot"....(keep in mind she didn't really know Grant that well at the time), anyways, she came home and told us he was laughing at her, but she didn't know why......yeah, well Ang, hate to break it to you, but its cRockpot! Not the best word to get confused....

Anyways, for her bday we bought a cake that said Happy Birthday Cockpot", we had a big surprise party planned and all. As we got to where the party was Melizza drops the cake as she got out of the car....NICE! That WOULD happen to us. It was definitely worth documenting!

Chris & I strongly felt a weekend trip to San Diego to visit my parents was in order! Can I just say I never wanted to come back??? I had mixed feelings stepping on the plane in 80 degree weather and one and a half hours later stepping off the plane in the freezer! I LOVE SD and would live there in a heartbeat. Even when I lived there in high school I didn't realize how perfect and amazing it is. I can see why my parents have a hard time moving back! We had such a wonderful weekend with them.... shopping, walking the boardwalks along the beach, old town, introducing my mother to the wonderful world of blogging....and of course the best food in the world....nothing like mama's cooking!! We miss them already and can't wait to see them in Utah for thanksgiving!!! Jet blue has some great deals flying there, and I suggest you check it out!!! Here are a few pictures from the trip.....

Not the best, but what can ya do? It was hilarious, my dog felt that Chris was moving in on his territory or something, as Chris took over 'his' chair all weekend, but he sure liked Chris when he had food!!!

Okay, I know I am the world's worst blogger, but in my defense, we have been so busy and I just don't even know where to start! I will be making an 'official' legitimate post soon, whenever I can figure out where to begin. To sum up, life is good, we have our ultrasound here in a couple weeks. 1. Where did you meet your husband? At Pinnacle Security! I didn't know his name so I just called him 'English Boy'......or if you are the girls I worked with I called him my boyfriend.

As promised, here are some pictures from a few weeks ago. Our lovely little Katie Revels is getting married in a couple of weeks and at her bridal shower we found it ONLY appropriate to predict the gender of her future children....! Most people know about this little quirk, but I still think it is fun...I don't care if I'm not 12 anymore!!! I'm telling you it's accurate, It worked for my mother-in-law every time....I'm a believer!! Chels, Kristen, Katie, Linds, and I had such a fun time and we have decided to have 'Female's Friday' every so often so if anyone wants to join in baking cakes, starting catering businesses, weekend trips to St. George, please don't hesitate to join!

On another note, I don't think I mention my wonderful and hunk of a man Chris nearly enough! I guess we just have way too much fun together that we never think to take pictures. Needless to say, he is absolutely the best husband a girl could ask for!!! Most people already know since word spreads like fire, but we are expecting our first little one in April. We are pretty darn excited. Chris needs a little buddy to follow him around and to teach his handyman things.....he's crossing his fingers for a little guy. Anyways, we are headed to Lake Powell tomorrow for the week, going to be one heck of a time, that's for sure...just praying I don't get too sick!

I just now decided while everyone updates their blogs every couple of weeks, our blog seriously suffers!! I swear we do lots of fun things and our lives are not completely boring! As a matter of fact, we have had one heck of a busy couple of weeks!!!! From Virginia Beach, where we were living for the summer to... Tampa, FL, where Chris's parents bought an awesome vacation home, and last but not least, back to "land of Zion"...Utah! We have moved into our place, bought a new car, back to work/school/BLAH, I'm just kidding, I love my work. We actually were lucky enough to spend a little weekend away over the Labor day holiday in beautiful Bear Lake! My aunt and uncle rented a pretty Swwweeet 6,000 sq. ft. cabin right on the lake! It was good to be up there with all the family, although my parents and sister were dearly missed : ). I am ashamed to say I took about one picture, I guess it was just THAT fun, I completely forgot to capture the moments! Can I just say I LOVE my family! I laughed so flippin' hard! I wish I could say it's good to be back, but I won't lie, I kept telling my husband I wouldn't mind at all if we got stranded up in this beautiful cabin in Bear Lake in a mega crazy storm for the entire week! That is like my mother in law's and my dream!!!!!!! It will happen to us someday, it will, guys. Anyways, I will definitely be taking more pictures soon.....so you don't have to read my boring blog! We are headed to Lake Powell in two weeks so maybe that'll be a good start....YAY! Hope everyone had a wonderful AND safe Holiday weekend!!!

My parents were in town the same week, I got to see and hang out with them, the rest of my relatives, and my friends! As most people already know, my husband grew up mostly in England, (yes with the English accent and all, everyone asks), so you can imagine his excitement when we came across this little British Shop. He was the little boy in the candy store running around excitedly! The only difference was because of work he was unable to come, but he was on the phone asking me if they had all these weird things I won't even try to pronounce! And if he was with me, I am CERTAIN he would be running around. I also had to take a picture of all the treats for my family....and I won't lie, the cheese & onion Hula Hoops....actually preeeetty good! Just another thing that makes me excited to go to England....what can I say!

D.C. Temple

This past Saturday I was given the opportunity to visit the Washington D.C. temple to do a session with my Relief Society down here in VA Beach. The Temple is about 3 1/2 hours from where we live and about 2 hours after we starting driving there I realize I had completely forgot my recommend!!!! Dang it! I was so upset! Needless to say, all the women did a session and Emilee got to know the visitors center real well! I guess I really can't complain though because the temple was absolutely, amazingly BEAUTIFUL! I loved it! And you can bet your bottom dollar that I put my recommend in the wallet to forever stay.... as soon as I got home!

The car ride was something to talk about though! I have never met a lady who talked more in my LIFE! Mirinda, Becky, and I thought it was a hoot, she was still talking even when we were all asleep...to who, I don't know? She was very kind, however, and we were fortunate to have a safe trip. I am grateful for the Relief Society organization.

2) Church....make it out the door on time even if it means my husband doing his hair in the car, and yes this happens more often than not, I am the one ready on time....now is something wrong with this picture???

3) Spend time with my wonderful husband Chris, since it is his only day off work, usually this consists of big plans decided on earlier in the week, none of which actually happen, followed by marathons of 'Friends' and driving around looking for Area for Chris. Hey, we have a great time and it really doesn't matter what we are doing as long as we are together, right?

4) Chris plans to watch the NBA finals with the boys, and I have no intentions of participating in that! Haven't even watched it at all this year, not interested!

5) Go to bed early, yeah right, in summer sales, that is hardly the case!

5 Snacks I enjoy:

1) Tomatoes with cottage cheese, I know, weird, but lately I am quite paranoid with this whole recall so I've kind of boycotted all tomato eating activity!! Annoyed? Yes!

2) Kashi pumpkin spice granola bars...you need to try them!

3) Fruit Popsicles

4) Golden Delicious Apples, pre-sliced, please.

5) Yogurt

What I would do if I was given a billion dollars: You know there are a lot of things I would do, thats not even a good question...

1) Biting my nails

2) Being a little too compulsive about things being clean and organized...and I don't mean this in a good way.

3) Chris would tell you I am a major cover stealer, so I guess I'll admit to that!

4) I don't believe in Math 2010, but surprisingly my favorite subject is Math.

5) I have driven off with a gas pumped attached by accident, however I still don't believe it was my fault...JENA!... Oh well, like father, like daughter....haha ; ), just kidding dad!

6) I have to get on KSL.com EVERY morning to read the news and deseretnews.com to check the obituaries.
